I was born in the Beaches in Toronto, ON. From an early age I've always been keen to express myself through various artistic media. I look to Canadian artists Emily Carr, the Group of Seven, and Robert Bateman for inspiration.
My first art classes were in elementary school and continued at Malvern Collegiate Institute. During this time I experimented with various media including graphite, sculpture, and oil paint. In addition I spent several years learning painting techniques, first with acrylic and then watercolour, from fine artist Gillian Fishman, owner of Gillian Studio and Framing in the Beaches.
After graduation I pursued studies at McMaster University in Hamilton ON. I graduated with an Honours B.Sc. in Medical and Health Physics, and now employed in the Canadian nuclear industry.
Over the past several years I've been inspired to resume drawing and painting in my free time. My preferred media is graphite, ink, and watercolour.
